Tinting windows: Precautions to take into account.

News

After tinting your car's windows, we recommend the following precautions to keep the window tinting in good condition.

  1. Some water remains between the sheet and the glass, which will cause some bubbles to form and then evaporate. These bubbles are made of water, but if they were made of air, they would have a white color and the sheet would have to be installed again.
  2. We recommend do not lower the window panes for a period of 48 hours in summer and 72 hours in winter for the glue to take effect and the film to adhere well to the glass. This is so that the glue takes effect once the water dries and the sheet fully adheres to the glass.
  3. It is important Do not hit or rest things on the laminated glass that may scratch the polyester film.
  4. Do not wash the glass regularly with liquids containing strong or corrosive chemicals, such as ammonia, that can discolor or damage the polyester film. Using a cloth with water or some neutral liquid is optimal.
  5. Clean the windows regularly so that no dirt or particles accumulate that could scratch the sheet when a cloth or paper is wiped over it.
  6. In case you want to remove the window tint. You have to proceed by heating the surface of the glass with a heat gun so that the sheet can come off easier and then remove the glue with a scraper.

If you have any questions, you should consult an authorized installer so they can provide you with advice.
